Isaac Application 1 Isaac Application 2 These videos show the belt mounted system of the Isaac Device which allows full movement of the head in rotation and forward and back axis with little restriction. Note the quick release pins to the rear of the helmet just above the shoulders. The Isaac Device does not attach to the drivers torso like other head and neck restraints. Rescuers must be aware of the various types of head and neck restraint systems and how the operate them to remove the driver in an extrication or rapid exit in a fire emergency and the associated injuries drivers incur while using them.
Crash Test Here is a special treat, a laboratory crash sled video shot in real time. For scientific purposes, these tests are normally recorded with multiple high-speed cameras that shoot as fast as 1,000 frames per second. That's great if you're doing research, but it's not much fun to watch some dummy flop around in slow motion. So, the last time we were in the lab we shot this with a standard camcorder. It even has audio, so crank it up...
