| Sprint Car Safety Project |
Friday September 04 2009
|
We have partnered up with manufacturers of race chassis, seats, belts, tethers, fuel cells, fire systems and other safety related equipment to devise a 3 part safety program that has not been seen in many years to improve sprint car safety across the board.
Part 1 is our driver protection module that addresses better seat mounting methods to keep the seat where it belongs; improved seat belt mounts to keep the driver and H&N system where they belong as well as integrating our ZipFlex Wire Rescue Saw for easier and quicker driver removal by safety teams after a bad accident.
Part 2 is our new suspension and major component restraint system designed to keep the parts on your car from flying off into the crowd or into your fellow racer's face during and after an accident.
Part 3 is dedicated to fire safety and better ways to prevent fuels spills and resultant fires to give you more time to get out and the track safety teams more time to respond to your aid in a wreck.
I can't give you all the details now because that would spoil the surprise but; stay tuned for more information as we finalize this project for the industry as a whole.
You might be surprised at how simple and cost effective some of these ideas are and say to yourself; "This is so simple, why didn't someone think of this years ago? " Cheers....Gus
